Foundervine is a community of founders of diverse backgrounds. The Social Impact grant, an initiative under the Vine Fund offers grants of between $500 – $1,000 to social impact organizations.

COVID-19 led to nationwide lockdowns and government restrictions. In Ghana and Nigeria, small charities and social enterprises were hit very hard. That’s why Vine Fund 1 by Foundervine was launched to support organizations in these countries.

The fund seeks to

  • Help organizations get their social impact organization back on track
  • Help organizations work with communities that are recovering

Winners of the grant include nonprofit organizations such as

  • Achievers Ghana: educates and trains girls in slums in coding
  • Act for Change: uses theatre and other participatory methods to advocate for social issues that affect communities.
  • Rescue and Care Trust Foundation: helps prisoners, ex-offenders, children, and families to make a fresh start.
